Letting Food Actually Nourish You
Taking Control of My Weight ~ Day 5
Well, I'm happy to announce I've lost 2 pounds! Pretty amazing since I haven't actually started any pre planned food modification or 'diet'. Seems the very act of observing my eating behavior and evaluating the quality of food I'm consuming has a positive effect on my goal of getting a healthy weight. Here's a few examples.

considered the actually energetic value of the choices. I grabbed the apple and headed out the door. So I'm eating and driving and and the little voice in my head said, "You're not letting the apple nourish you." Have to admit that was true. I was chomping and swallowing a very tasty apple while negotiating driving.
So I pulled into a parking lot with a lovely view of some trees and finished my delicious apple slowly and with gratitude. Tasting the tart crisp juicy fruit was satisfying my need for something sweet. My mouth was getting those strong flavors and texture I like so much and my body was getting some actual real food! A win-win!
Conclusion
A lot of my body fat energetically represents non-food calories that my body didn't need or couldn't use. Those old "empty calories" they talk about. So here's your challenge. Post below the last item you ate that you feel guilty about.
1) Why do you feel guilty?
2) How do you feel about your excess weight.
3) What if anything do those 2 emotions have to do with each other? Be honest. No judgements here.
