2 Main Reasons You're Fat

Of course we all know the flippant answer. But I would like to crank that a bit and look at the energetic issues. First, I would say you're consuming the wrong energy (qi or life force) and it's clogging your chakras (energy centers). Second, you have no clear cut plan on what to do with the energy you've consumed.

Let's use a analogy. Say you hire a contractor to remodel your house (your body). The contractor is confined to the house and dependent upon you to deliver all of the supplies and tools needed to complete the job. Like any remodeling job, you want to change what you have into something you desire. But many of us have instructions and plans that are sketchy at best. Now imagine when you hired this conscientious contractor, you gave them only a vague description of what you wanted. Something like, "update the kitchen" or I like neutral colors and natural hardwood floors." Not much for the contractor to go on.

Remember the contractor is dependent on you to deliver the supplies and tools. So you start delivering (eating). You deliver some concrete sacks, 2 gallons of food dye, some salvaged wood planks, a tube of glue, and a trash bag of 'stuff'. Or you bring the right tools and supplies, but way too many at a time! At this point, the frustrated contractor has no choice but to start sorting out this interesting pile of goodies you've dumped and find something, anything, that might be useful in his remodeling job. What he can't use or be flushed down the toilet, he must store (fat). He has no choice but to stack it in one of the closets or rooms to get it out of his way.

Ok, enough with this analogy. You get it. The second issue is your plan. Different bodies and lifestyles need different tools and supplies. An athlete's needs are different from someone trying to recover from a disease. A child's needs are different from a senior. So what are YOUR plans and needs? Have you even thought out what you want your body to do for you? Yeah, me either! So today's challenge. Strip down to your undies, and spend a minute in front of a mirror. Be brave! Bring a note pad and without any judgement, take a long, objective look at your body. Make some notes. Be objective, this is YOUR body. No matter how disappointed or frustrated you might be with what you see, you DO have the power to change. The first steps in any journey are to decide where you are, where you want to go and then plan a route to get there.

Challenge ~ Make a list of where your body is now. Here's a few items on my list to get you started. Post below if you like.

A few of my body issues:
  • Has 40 Pounds of unusable energy (fat)
  • Straining under the load of carrying too much 'stuff' I don't need and can't use
  • Polluted with some toxic wastes of unhealthy energy (crappy food)
  • Suffering from a lack of plans on what to do with my consumed energy (food)
What are some of your issues?
