Five Things More Frightening Than The Terrorists
5. Allowing yourself to jump to conclusions without objectively reviewing the facts for yourself.
4. Using broad strokes to define and label people. “They’re Muslim, Christian, Jew, LGBT, Black, White, Latino, Male, Female, etc.” so therefore, they must be, (fill in the blank). It is irrational, incorrect and serves to dehumanize that group. It then becomes easy to think in terms of “them vs. us”. We have to protect ourselves from… THEM.
3. Allowing a statistically small number of people to bully and intimidate several billion generally gregarious, generous, loving humans into a fear driven global panic.
2. Abandoning our basic humanity just because it involves risk to help someone that needs a helping hand.
1. But THE most frightening thing is having billions of people focusing on such anger, hatred, and expecting the worst.
Energetically, it feeds power directly into that which you say you don’t want. It’s one of the Universal Principles, “that which you think about expands.” And if you think this is all a bunch of ‘hooey’ then you don’t believe in the power of prayer. Because each time you focus your attention on something, the Universe (God) responds… So as the saying goes, “be careful what you ask for.”
Is there risk in the world. Of course, but that doesn’t stop most of us
from living our lives. Are there bad people in the world? Of course, but just because some people are evil, that doesn’t translate into “EVERYONE” is evil.
I’m Christian, so I’ll use a Christian challenge. If Jesus walked up behind you and said, “hey… what’s cha up to?” If you answered honestly, would he slap you on the back and say, “thanks for carrying on my work…” or slap you upside the head and tell you to stop doing that in his name.
Just sayin’
