Holding The Space for Love & LIght

Today I send another of my Angels for myself, and my social media

family. I saw something on the news that threw me into an emotional fit, I began to cry and wanted to rush to FB and post how awful this was... wanting reassurance I wasn't the only one that found this outrageous and unacceptable. After prayer and checking in with my Angels, they calmed me and directed me to find this poem I wrote 20 years ago to post instead. So please join me in a Prayer for the Peacemaker today.

Peacemaker
To achieve peace, we must choose to live peaceably moment-to-moment.
With ourselves
With our friends and family
With our neighbors
With our communities
With other nations

When conflict arises
…And it always will
It is incumbent on the Peacemaker to take a stand for peace
To take the first step
To negotiate demands
To moderate expectations
To de-escalate the situation
To do the right thing
To look past the immediate, personal wants for the long-term, holistic needs

If we cannot find a way to live peaceably with people we know and love
Who at the base of it, have committed no crime other than to oppose us
How can we expect those with great cause and justification to hate one another
To lay down their weapon
To agree to compromise
To co-operate
To build a peaceful future?

In the end, if peace is what you desire,
You must learn to live peaceably moment-to-moment
For it is only in peace that perfect Love can flourish.
